About the role
We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded HR Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR functions and support continued growth in the technology and digital transformation industry. Recently backed by a Japanese tech powerhouse, we are a leading low-code consultancy (Mendix) in the region — offering the agility of a growing Malaysian company combined with the stability and resources of an international group.
Responsibilities
  1. Partner with senior management on workforce planning, org development, and HR policies
  2. Oversee end-to-end recruitment for specialist and tech roles
  3. Manage employee relations, grievances, and engagement
  4. Oversee payroll, benefits, and strict compliance with Malaysian employment laws
  5. Manage appraisal frameworks, training needs, and succession planning
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field
  2. Proven full-spectrum HR experience at managerial or senior executive level
  3. Strong industrial relations (IR) experience — hands-on handling of disciplinary cases, grievances, and engagement with unions/authorities
  4. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory
  5. Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and statutory compliance
  6. Experience in technology, IT services, or professional services preferred
  7. Japanese language proficiency is an added advantage
  8. Stable employment history and mature, hands-on approach
