About the role
The Accountant / Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank and account reconciliations. This role involves supporting month-end and year-end closing, maintaining accurate financial documentation, monitoring cash flow, and assisting with budgeting and audit requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, management, and external auditors or tax agents to ensure efficient financial operations and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and financial records.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, tax agents, and other relevant parties.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
Experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
Good organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
